$300 Million Project to be Built in Dickinson

Posted: Updated:

Western North Dakota is buzzing with excitement.

Word has gotten out about a new 300 million dollar project.

An international investment company chose Dickinson for Baron's Vista - a 280 acre retail garden mall and mixed use development.

It will be like a community within itself - including affordable housing and hotels.

They're in the early process of this but Real Estate Broker Catherine Cronen says its coming.

"It's going to have foliage and greenery and grass and water. So families can come 365 days a year and enjoy that atrium. A food court around it and entertainment for the kids and adults. So that's kind of the dream," says Catherine Cronen, Real Estate Broker, Catherine Cronen Agency.

Cronen says it will also feature a 15 story iconic lighthouse tower in the shape of a D.

Residents of Dickinson are looking forward to what this will bring to the community.

"I think it will be fantastic for Dickinson, for the community. Another addition to the strong retail and residential that's coming into the area," says Mark Kalahar.

"Man, an amphitheater, shopping, indoor mall, you name it yeah very excited about all of that," says Laurie Willett.

Cronen says they're still working with the city to finalize everything but hope to break ground in the fall.

She says it will be a long term project, possibly taking up to 5 years to complete.
