Around Town 5-2

Posted: Updated:

Relaxing by the sea is a luxury that we unfortunately do not have in North Dakota.

But there's a new business in Bismarck that offers a salty, therapeutic experience.

Steph Scheurer takes us on a brief ocean getaway in this week's Around Town.

Salt Cave Wellness Relaxation Center on Interstate Avenue opened April 21st and is the only salt therapy facility in North Dakota.

Here's what you do...

"They would go into the room, into the cave, and go into zero gravity chairs and lean back, relax, and just enjoy the relaxation and the benefits of the salt within the room," says Pat Zidon, Owner, Salt Cave Wellness Relaxation Center.

They say the salt benefits everyone's overall well being but especially those who suffer from respiratory problems like asthma or allergies.

For more information on this unique experience, you can go to www.saltcavend.com.

Overlooking the city will be the new Ridgeview Centre.

It's a Class A building for professional office spaces.

So far a couple of security firms and a chiropractor are leasing space.

Leasing Agent Chuck Huber says it will be a convenient location as the city expands.

"Tremendous view of the city. We're sitting up here fairly high on the hill. It's along 43rd Avenue which is quickly becoming the east west new main street if you will for offices and businesses on the North end of Bismarck," says Chuck Huber, Leasing Agent, Bis. Realty Co.

The first tenant will open in July and the others will follow in the fall.

Mann Signs Inc. relocated to Continental Avenue and opened the beginning of March.

It's a full serve custom sign company.

They do electric signs, interior signs, banners, vehicle lettering, window graphics, and metal and steel fabrication... just to name a few.

The new location allowed their business to double in size.

Everywhere you look, you'll often see a sign designed by Mann Signs.

Owner Derwin Mann says they've been a part of the community for 26 years.
