Comic Store Prepares for "Free Comic Book Day" Tomorrow

Posted: Updated:

Kids of all ages are getting their "Spidey" suits ready for "Free Comic Book Day" tomorrow.

Action Jackson and Juke Joint Comics in Bismarck will both be celebrating for the occasion, which is now in its 13th year.

Along with the event, "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" premieres today.

Juke Joint Comics owner Mike Swenson says there's nothing like reading a printed comic book.

"There's no other feeling. I mean they're still you know to have it physically in your hand. To be able to go through it page by page, whether you're a young reader or an old reader to be able to appreciate the art now as older readers where you appreciate the authors and the creativity that goes into publishing a book," says Swenson.

Swenson says he hopes to see 75 to 100 people come through the door.

Along with free comics the store will hold a costume contest.
