Minot City Attorney Fired

Posted: Updated:

Minot’s newly-hired city attorney has been fired.

Colleen Auer began her duties in April, taking over for John Van Grinsven, who had retired.

City Council Chairman Jim Hatlelid says Auer was dismissed late this afternoon for insubordination.

He says Auer did not get along with her supervisor, acting City Manager Cindy Hemphill.

Auer had moved to Minot from Scottsdale, Arizona, although her family had remained in Arizona pending the end of the school year.
