United Way Bowling Fund Raiser

Posted: Updated:

Local businesses and individuals had some spare time this weekend, and spent it at the bowling alley to support Souris Valley United Way.

For the first time the fundraiser's five years, all 38 teams were filled, raising an estimated 3,000 dollars.

Money from these groups will go to United Way's 28 programs which promote improvements in education, income, and health here in Minot.

(Danielle Cook, Campaign Coordinator) "They know that their money is going to something good, and they actually get a heart-warming, feel good thing about doing this. They just really like that their money all stays in Minot, so they really like supporting us, and knowing that they can live united."
