They aren't the Muppets, but they are carrying on a tradition of entertainment.
For the eighth year in a row the third graders at Edison Elementary in Minot have written and produced their own puppet shows.
Students are assigned a group to learn about a particular genre, like fiction, history or humor.
They must research their topic with encyclopedias, and then create a script.
After that, it's show time for the whole family-- even some who performed last year.
(Robbi Jo Morgan, Edison Third Grade Teacher) "They are just excited to share that information with their siblings, and I've done that before. I love that. I was James Madison. I was Ben Franklin. I did fantasy. It's just really nice to see that sharing going on with their family's as well with other classes."
The puppet show was a big hit, and will be visiting again to a new group next year.
