Throughout the years, more and more people have been catching the CAT.
The CAT bus that is.
It got its start in 2004 and today it celebrates its 10th anniversary.
Local officials and members of the community gather for an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony.
Gerald Hendrickson, one of the original bus drivers, has seen the CAT coverage grow over the years.
Hendrickson says he enjoys forming relationships with the frequent riders and says each year gets better."Camaraderie with the rest of the drivers and I enjoy driving. Why not do it? And it is a very good job for a retired person," says Gerald Hendrickson, CAT Bus Driver.
The Bismarck-Mandan Transit Center has 10 CAT buses and 14 drivers.
Hendrickson says he still plans on being one of them for another 5 years.
It may have been in the 40s this morning, but that did not stop kids from lining up at the local water park this afternoon.
