Students Showcase Art at Career Academy

Posted: Updated:

The end of the school year is near and students are ready to show off their finished products at the Career Academy Art Show.

Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors in high schools throughout the community showcase their art from graphic, digital design, and video production classes.

These courses are career-oriented and designed to teach students what a real job is like.

Graphic Design Instructor Julie Barth says she can already see these students are well on their way to becoming professional artists.

"It's amazing the type of talent that's here and what the students do because it's anywhere from the colored pencil on up to the digital raster, photoshop, illustrator images and so it's just amazing what type of artwork is done and by the high school students," says Julie Barth, Graphic Design Instructor, Career Academy.

t show is open to the public through May 8th.

There is a reception tomorrow evening from 5 to 6:30 where the students will be awarded ribbons for their artwork.
