With the Winter weather we've had this year almost everyone is ready to venture outside and do some traveling.

The Magic City's promotional group, Visit Minot, wants to help local businesses get their names out to visitors this Summer season.

Visit Minot invites any company within 30 miles of the city to apply for a match grant up to $5 thousand that will increase advertising to other communities.

Hopeful businesses need to apply, and also submit a plan for their projected tourism.

(Wendy Howe, Visit Minot) "It could be radio. It could be digital. It could be television. You know you decided what you would like to do with those dollars, and how you are going to use them for your marketing, and then you tell us, "this is what we are going to do," and we'll partner with you."

Visit Minot will try and award a total of $50 thousand.
