In the decade that we've been introducing you to top high school graduates through Student Spotlight, we've gotten to know members of the Telehey family in Williston pretty well.
Sarah Telehey is the third member of her family to be valedictorian at Trinity Christian High School in Williston.
(Sarah Telehey, Williston Trinity Christian Senior) "Going to school here has helped me to do well because it's a smaller school, smaller environment so you have more one on one time with the teachers and the teachers really get to know you as an individual. Also the Christian-based aspect is nice and helps you grow in your faith and as an individual. I've had a lot of good classes over the years, we have a lot of good teachers here. I specifically enjoyed the sciences here - we had a great teacher Mrs. Kreft who unfortunately is leaving this year. We also have a really good English program and we just got a new teacher this year but previously we had Mrs. Routledge and this year we got Mrs. Black and both are really good teachers. In a small school like this you are basically involved in everything so I play basketball and volleyball, I'm part of our Leo's Club, our student council, our prayer team our praise team. I plan to go to the University of Jamestown to major in elementary education and to play basketball and in the future I hope to possibly come back here to teach first or second grade and coach a team of my own and raise a family of my own."
Congratulations to Sarah and these honor students at Williston Trinity Christian High School.
A total of ten seniors will be graduating on May 25th.
