Around Town 5-9

Posted: Updated:

North Bismarck is growing and more businesses keep popping up.

One new complex will offer a variety of services all in one stop.

This will be a one-stop-shop...gas station, convenience store, and food.

There will be a drive-thru where you can pick up coffee, sandwiches, yogurt - as well as nearly 90 percent of the items in the store.

The market will also be handicap accessible from the walking path.

Business partners Casey and Don Clement purchased 32 acres of land to possibly add commercial office buildings and a luxury condo in the area.

Horizon Market will be completed by November.

Cosmelle Salon is located inside of Tinee & Trendee along Washington.

Owner Danielle Braun and stylist Magen Dinga say it's more like a barbershop for women.

It used to be a kitchen but they say the quaint space offers a great family atmosphere.

"Our clients were actually in here the other day and they're like even if you come in here with a bad day, someone's going to be happy and just brighten you up," says Braun.

Cosmelle also uses all TG hair products which they say is the only product line that fixes hair internally.

Lucky Ducks Deli downtown is expanding.

The new addition will be called The Pond and will be a full-service bar and restaurant.

You'll see an expanded menu with new dinner items, appetizers, and happy hour.

Owner Russell Kadlec says they love their location but want to bring more to the downtown.

"We just, you know, tried to find what we thought Bismarck wanted and needed downtown and fresh quality product and consistency is kind of what we live off here," says Kadlec.

The Pond will open in June.

The new expansion to Lucky Ducks will also feature a live music stage, outdoor patio, and a second story deck.
