A unique bike race was held just outside of Bismarck today--And it is gathering more participants than ever.
The Burleigh County bike race was held for third year at Eagles Park.
Cyclists from all over were able to race for free because of partnerships with local sponsors.
Racers could choose from a 75-mile or a 35 mile track that held a variety of challenging terrain.
Road bikes were the popular choice and were outfitted with heavy-treaded tires to ride the gravel roads.
Organizers say this event is pulling people in from all over.
"We have people here this year from Salt Lake City, we have people here from Red Lodge, Montana. We have you know..there's people traveling to come to it. Minneapolis, Minnesota we have a few cats from there so, you know we're crossing the upper mid-west I guess," says Ian Easton Burleigh Cup Founder.
Over 100 people participated in this event and they hope to do it again next year.
