Man Dies from Construction Accident

Posted: Updated:

Minot Police say a man died Monday after falling from a four-story structure.

48-year-old Richard Rayburn of Hillsboro, Ohio was working on a roof at 1220 27th Avenue Northwest in Minot when winds blew up a piece of plywood.

While trying to gain control, Rayburn stepped on a loose piece of plywood and slid off the roof.

Rayburn was tethered to the roof, but he temporarily removed the tether to reposition when the incident occurred.

Rayburn was transported to Trinity Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
