The Abused Adult Resource Center is urgently seeking volunteers-- due to a population increase.
A representative from the Center says they are seeing more people seeking help from abusive situations.
Volunteers are needed to operate crisis phone lines, work at its thrift store and provide childcare at shelters.
Keenan Schuler says being a volunteer is a great way to make a difference in someone's life.
"People always say they want to go do stuff and help stuff, you know instead of just saying it, go out and do it. And just the joy that you get, like the good feeling that you went up and helped somebody. If someone just gets a taste of that I think they would really like volunteering here," says Keenan Schuler, AARC Special Event and Volunteer Coordinator.
