Hazardous Waste Recycling

Posted: Updated:

Today and tomorrow marks hazardous waste collection in Minot.

The city invites all residents to get rid of toxic material free of charge, and that means a variety of things.

Paints, stains, solvents, pesticides, household cleaning products, and even e-waste like computers can all be collected.

Schools and businesses can also participate for a small fee, and the process is easier than ever.

(Bob Lindee, Minot Information Officer) "There are going to drive out to Public Works, and follow the signs at 31st avenue. It's just a couple blocks east of the fairgrounds, and there will be signage directing them into the location into Public Works. They'll drive right through. Their going to have Public Works employees that will take the items right out of the car. They don't need to life a finger to get the things out, so it's a real quick in and out process."

Drop runs 8 am to 5 pm, and if you need help with Asbestos and other hazardous materials call 857-4140.
