Mandan Chiefs Look to Strong High School Season as Sign of Things to Come

Posted: Updated:
Legion Baseball is already underway -- just days removed from the High School Season.
The Mandan Chiefs have a couple practices under their belts already and with returning talent things are looking up for the program.

Mandan High saw unexpected success during high school baseball season, picked 6th they finished 2nd in the WDA but missed state.
With many players from that team suiting up for the chiefs--  they are hoping to bring a winning mentality to Legion Baseball.
Head coach Ryne Jungling's says his team was made up of a lot of young players-- but this season they are maturing mentally and physically
Making him very optimistic for the season.

"They're excited, they're grown, they're stronger, they throw harder, so it's nice to see that you know they're just a year older. They were 15 and 16, now they're 16 and 17 and excited to have those guys around, " says Head Coach Ryne Jungling.

Parker Harm was a key piece in Mandan High School's success this past season.
Due to a wrist injury Harm sat out some of last summers legion schedule.
Harm has worked hard to get ready to be a big time contributor on the bump to this years team.

"I mean I missed a few games last year for summer, so I am looking forward to just getting those, making up those games and hopefully contributing to them." says Harm.
