Operation Fun Camps

Posted: Updated:
Summer fun with a dash of learning.
Burleigh County Extension is holding Operation Fun Camps throughout the summer.
Each week a new camp starts with a different focus.
Community service projects, field trips and career exploration are a part of each camp, as well as digging in the garden.

(Peggy Netzer / Burleigh Co. Extension Agent) "This week the kids have been learning about plants. Today they are talking about soils. They did photography, videography, each week has garden related activities and lessons, but it also incorporates some technology."
(TJ Davis / Camper) "There is different kinds of soils and three kinds of soils. There is silk, clay and sand."
(Chase Russell / Camper) "We got to bring cameras out here. Just learning all the new things about cameras, like how you can do different stuff with them."

The Last Operation Fun Camp this summer is August 4-8th.
There are still openings.
You can call the Burleigh County Extension office for more information.
