MOSCOW, June 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- RT's website, rt.com, has won the 2014 Interactive Media Award (IMA) in the "News" category, where the channel was up against 36 other entries.
Projects were judged on five criteria, with a score from 0-100 awarded for each. RT's website received the perfect 100 for content and 99 for site functionality.
According to the IMC, "the Best in Class award is the highest honor bestowed by the Interactive Media Awards. It represents the very best in planning, execution and overall professionalism. In order to win this award level, your site had to successfully pass through our comprehensive judging process, achieving very high marks in each of our judging criteria - an achievement only a fraction of sites in the IMA competition earn each year."

Other winners for News have included entries from CBS, NBC, Examiner, The Atlantic, CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) and RTVE (largest Spanish-language broadcaster in Spain).
