Metros Gearing Up for Season

Posted: Updated:

Much like the Minot Vistas-- the Minot Metros are gearing up for another season of American Legion baseball.

There will be plenty of new faces this season on the Junior Legion team-- returning just 4 of their 14 players to the lineup.

After a 5th place finish in the state a season ago- second year head coach Jason Steele is ready for the growing pains that may come with the fresh faces--- and says a slow start is normal for Metro baseball-- it's the middle of the season that they start to rally.

Conor Taney - IF/OF " I think we have a talented team this year. We're young but hopefully the older guys help everyone out. We have experience, a lot of us played last year and have some experience. Hopefully that will help us."

Now unlike the vistas--The Metros start their season on the road they go to Fargo on the 11th-- the double header starts at noon.
