June 10th is election day for city-level positions around the state..
Today, we are featuring the four candidates that hope to win one of the three openings on Minot's Park Board.
Two park board incumbents are running, including third term member Connie Feist and second term board member Richard Sabol.
Charles Emery, the MAYSA Arena manager, and Nancy Beck, an avid outdoors woman, are also running in the election. Here's what they have to say.
(Richard Sabol, Incumbent) "Keeping on building up with the Mesa Arena, the trails, the golf course, the zoo, and all those other areas that we all love and enjoy."
(Nancy Beck, Candidate) "I think we can do some other things. I have some ideas, where maybe some areas outside of parks, where maybe some service groups could take over some areas and help us out there."
(Connie Feist, Incumbent) "I believe the Park District is the key provider of quality of life opportunities in Minot."
(Charles Emery, Candidate) "We have done a great job, as a park district as a whole, recovering from flood control, and now it's time, hopefully to move on to other things, enhancing the facilities and growing the area."
Of the 4 candidates, 3 will be elected. Polls are open Tuesday from 7am to 7pm.
