Around Town 6/6/14: Sunrise Town Centre

Posted: Updated:

This next story features a project that will offer everything from food to retail, to liquor.

Once completed, it will stretch across 72 acres of land.

Steph Scheurer shows us how progress is coming along for Sunrise Town Centre in this week's Around Town.

Kyle Holwagner, Vice President of Daniel Companies says many think this will be the new Dan's Supermarket.

But it's actually Gee Wiliquors, a retail liquor store, part of phase one of Sunrise Town Centre.

Construction for Dan's is beginning now on the North side of the building.

Holwagner says the process for Sunrise Town Centre is going well and is on track.

You'll start to see paved roadways leading in and out of the complex toward the end of this month to the middle of July.

Gate city

and BNC banks, a convenience store, coffee shop, fast food restaurants, a large office complex, and retail will all be a part of Sunrise Town Centre as well.

Holwagner says the entire project will be constructed in two phases and is expected to take about 3 years to complete.

Across town, a new bank is on the horizon in northeast Bismarck.

Construction for Horizon Financial Bank began in October.

The building is 14 thousand 300 square feet and will also have six thousand square feet of rental space available.

Horizon Financial will offer agriculture, commercial, and consumer lending.

Bank President John Vollmer says this is a logical business expansion for them because of the economic development in the area.

They hope to have construction complete by August 1st and be open for business in September.

Taking you Around Town for KX News, I'm Steph Scheurer.

Horizon Financial is a 108 year old charter, and operates primarily out of eastern North Dakota.
