The Burning Hills singers make their return for the Medora Musical's opening weekend.

This summer three North Dakota natives are performing in the group for the show's 50th season.

This year's show revisits the first 50 years of the musical and brings in many characters of the past.

Bill Sorensen has been the co-host of the musical for the last two years.

He says he's looking forward to an extra exciting season.

"It's always fun. We've got a great group of Burning Hills singers this year and they're all excited to get going. It's the rest of them that work hard. I just have fun. It's a great show, the pride of North Dakota so it'll be really wonderful to get it going again," says Medora Musical Co-host Bill Sorensen.

Around 2,500 people attended the show for opening weekend.
