What is chamber music?
The Dakota Chamber Music group defines it as music played by a small group in which everyone has their own part.
Woodwind, piano and string players all came to Minot State University this week for the 18th season of Dakota Chamber Music's Camp.
They want to encourage everyone from beginners to near professionals to come play their instruments without a conductor.
It will also teach them about working with other musicians.
(Erik Anderson, Administrative Director of Dakota Music Chamber) "Our job is to challenge them to not only solve all of these problems, but also find their unique voice, and present something that is musically effective by the end of the week."
This Thursday at 7:30 p.m. the chamber will host a faculty concert at Ann Nicole Nelson Hall. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
