Mandan Man Arrested for DUI after Driving Truck into the River

Posted:

A 22-year-old Mandan man is arrested for DUI after driving his truck into the river by a Mandan bar.

Mandan police say they were called around 11:30 last night for the report of a loud crash near The Drink.

The caller said they could see people swimming in the bay and that there may have been a boating accident.

When officers arrived they found three men walking away from scene.

Police say the driver missed a turn and drove the Ford F-350 airborne into Borden Harbor.

Two other men were the in the truck. Only minor injuries were reported.

Speed appears to be a factor in the crash.

The truck is completely submerged.

The Morton County Dive Team will try to remove the truck tonight.
