Business Beat 6-12-14

Posted: Updated:

May was moving month for Trendz Boutique of Minot. First located north of Minot, Nycole Burton has moved the business to Main Street now. Friday was the first day here. The women's outfitter also offers accessories throughout this new location that got a facelift before opening. This had been Main Street Books. Not surprisingly, this move has already proven to be a good one...

(Nycole Burton - Trendz Boutique) "I have had a lot of walk-ins who didn't know that I existed before so being in a centralized location has been very helpful. I really love my floor plan. I feel like I have more room here and I am able to add more merchandise down the road."

That includes a basement that is getting a make-over now...and should soon house more merchandise. Trendz is open Monday through Friday from 10 until 6 and on Saturday from 10 to 5.

North of the Minot Air Force Base you'll find Montessori of Minot located in the old Lynch Immanuel Church -- and it has changed hands recently. The new ownership has put an added emphasis on hands on learning that will be open for kids from infant all the way to 3rd grade. RaeAnne Chaska is the director of the facility.

(RaeAnne Chaska - Montessori of Minot Director) "The kids get to explore the classroom and learn

more practical life, math, and science skills. A lot more exploring and experimenting."

Open enrollment is on now for classes that will start in August. With Business Beat, I'm Perry Olson.
