Catching Up with Kat Perkins

Posted: Updated:

Scranton, North Dakota native Kat Perkins made it to the final five on The Voice...

Now that the show is over, we had a chance to catch up with her via Skype.

Kat says she tries to keep in touch with her coach from the show, Adam Levine.

She says she's taking a lot of his advice and using it now in her new recordings.

Kat says it's good to be home and her goal is to thank as many of her supporters and fans as she can.

Her life has not slowed down since the show.

"I cannot wait to deliver new music to everybody. We're working on that right now. The phone has been ringing non-stop, which is a great thing it's just really overwhelming so I put together a team and we're working on new music, concerts, and a new website and just everything to start this new chapter post The Voice so that we can use The Voice as a springboard to, just the beginning of my career," says Kat Perkins.

Kat also says she's excited to perform on stage at the Medora Musical on August 22nd.

She says she wants to come back to her roots where her journey first began.
