The North Dakota State Highway Patrol has identified the driver killed in a crash with a semi-truck near Towner Tuesday afternoon.
The State Highway Patrol reports 83-year-old Alice Rosencrans of Towner was traveling west on Highway 2 around 1:00 in the afternoon when a semi-truck rear-ended her PT Cruiser.
The crash resulted in a fire that engulfed both vehicles in flames.
Rosencrans was pronounced dead at the scene.
The semi-truck driver was uninjured.

A two-year-old child was killed by a hit-and-run driver in Minot Sunday evening.
