Relay for Life

Relay for Life

Posted: Updated:
Nearly 120 thousand dollars have been raised locally to help finish the fight against cancer.

Ten employees at Town and Country Credit Union make up one of the Relay for Life teams who will be walking through the night.

They have been fundraising all year round; and this week had a final effort to raise funds by holding a community BBQ.

Team leader Kathleen Henjum lost her father to cancer.

(Kathleen Henjum, Commercial Analyst) "It's an important thing, to go out and show support for others fighting that night. There's lots of people with turbans and people you can tell are going through treatment... and it just... It's so important to me to be there to say, we support you and we want this to go away."

Minot's Relay for Life is Friday night in front of Old Main at Minot State University.
