A guilty verdict has been reached for a Minot woman on a charge of attempted murder.
A jury found 35-year-old Heather Leavitt guilty of attempted murder -- a Class A felony -- after stabbing her husband Timothy eight times in the early morning hours of February First.
The surgical director of trauma services at Trinity Hospital testified earlier this week and said Leavitt had suffered punctures to both lungs.
Judge Mattson heard the guilty verdict and Leavitt has been taken into custody awaiting sentencing.
A Class A felony could carry up to a 20 year prison sentence.
