SAN DIEGO, June 20, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- EvoNexus, the CommNexus incubator for startup companies, today announces the graduation of MD Revolution, an emerging digital health company based out of the EvoNexus UTC location.

MD Revolution is the only digital health company with a proven solution for reversing chronic disease and lowering healthcare costs. The company merges scientific expertise, predictive digital technology, and personalized coaching to motivate sustainable lifestyle changes with clinical outcomes that improve quality of life.

MD Revolution entered the EvoNexus program in May 2013 and utilized a number of the benefits the program provides, including office space, mentorship, introductions to potential customers and partners, and access to educational startup focused programming.  All benefits are provided at zero cost to the entrepreneur.

"MD Revolution joined EvoNexus with a terrific team that believed they had a solution for very large problem facing employers with regard to the health of their employees," said Rory Moore, CEO of CommNexus and EvoNexus. "Through leveraging new developments in healthcare wearables, cloud based analytics and software services, MD Revolution created compelling early evidence that their solution would scale for use at the enterprise level. Through EvoNexus they have grown their staff and further refined their product. They are another example of digital healthcare expanding in our region."

While part of the incubator, MD Revolution made major strides in the marketplace.  The company completed a $9 million Series B round of funding in April and launched the beta of its software platform, RevUp.  Additional financing enabled the company to expand its product offering. MD Revolution now employs 41 people, having doubled in size to fuel its expansion plans.

"EvoNexus provided us valuable resources at a critical time in our growth including professional office space and conference rooms for client pitches and client meetings, space to scale and train our team, access to mentors, educational events and networking, speaking opportunities and introductions to major strategic partners," said Camille Saltman, Advisory Board Member and Strategic Consultant for MD Revolution.  "The opportunity to be part of the EvoNexus incubator accelerated our company's growth and helped us establish a strong business development pipeline."

MD Revolution will be moving into an Irvine Company office space in the UTC area.  Irvine Company is one of the largest sponsors of CommNexus and EvoNexus, providing roughly 31,000 square feet of office space in-kind annually.

By harnessing the power of digital technologies, MD Revolution is empowering people to take control of their most precious asset – their health. MD Revolution's clinically developed digital health platform, RevUp, is the only solution that delivers real improvements in health and wellbeing by focusing on the proven drivers of chronic disease.
