Busy Stretch for the Vistas

Posted: Updated:
Fresh off of a doubleheader sweep of Williston on Saturday, the Minot Vistas will kick off one of the busiest stretches of their season with the first of 10 straight days of action hosting Mandan tonight.

Tonight's game will be a re-match of last Thursday's game in Mandan where the Vistas let a 4 run lead slip in the bottom of the 9th with the Chiefs rallying for a win.

Vistas coach Todd Larson knows his team will need his pitching to step up not only tonight but over the next week as well.

Todd Larson, Vistas Coach:Our guys are gonna have to pitch deep into games now, 8 straight nights I think of games, big tournament this weekend in Minot, nice to get that back, haven't had a tournament here since the flood but we're anxious and we're excited, kids need some bats to get some different kids in the lineup to get some at bats and all of the sudden half the season's gonna be done Mike so it's gonna be busy but it's gonna be fun. You know coach Andy does a great job with our hitters, they've been working hard on defense, we still got to fix some things there but we'll spend a few minutes here after our bp and do some defensive things and hopefully we can make our team a little bit better.

Travis Walker, 2nd Baseman:It should be good to get these right away because I mean we're behind our winning percentage a little bit behind so this will be the best chance to jump ahead.
