Man Accused of Human Trafficking

Posted:
A Wisconsin man is accused of bringing women to North Dakota against their will and forcing them into prostitution.

Thirty-one-year-old Levell Durr faces a human trafficking charge in federal court. He appeared in court Monday, and Magistrate Judge Charles Miller ruled that he was eligible for a public defender and scheduled a detention hearing for Thursday.

An affidavit by FBI Special Agent Bruce Bennett states that Durr has been trafficking women since at least April, using drugs to keep them compliant.

Police acting on a tip arrested Durr on Friday at a Bismarck hotel.
