TRANSCRIPT

Junior golfers take a swing at the Drive, Chip and Putt Championship Qualifier.

Kids from age 7 to 15 came to Pebble Creek to show off their best skills.

This is the first time Bismarck hosted the tournament.

And the Executive Director of the Dakota Junior Golf Association says over 60 kids registered for the event this year.

He says it's a great opportunity to introduce young golfers to the game.

"What I love most about this is the parents coming out, supporting the kids, having a relationship with them and helping them out and coaching them. It's great. This is what golfing's all about is growing the game," says Executive Director of the Dakota Junior Golf Association Michael Herzog.

Herzog hopes to have 200 kids registered for next year.
