TRANSCRIPT

Local softball players are gearing up for the 39th annual McQuade's Softball Tournament this weekend.

Earlier today we spoke with the pitcher for the Bowers Excavators.

Perry Hanson grew up in Mandan and says he's fired up for his 30th McQuade this weekend.

He says many of his relatives and friends are playing in the tournament as well.

"I think a lot of people look forward to McQuade's because of the size of the tournament, what it's meant to the community of Bismarck. A lot of people like to come and play. You get to see teams from out of state. Old friends come back and play," says Bowers Excavators Pitcher Perry Hanson.

The event begins on Friday and will continue through Sunday.
