Piece by piece, the Camp of the Cross Ministry has spent the past months ready for their largest fundraiser of the year - by putting quilts together for the annual auction.
People from all over Garrison and surrounding cities donated these homemade blankets and other crafts for the big event today.
The fundraiser is put on to raise funds for all sorts of camps throughout the summer season - and this year, the goal was to break 1000 dollars.
The executive director of the camp was excited to see so much community involvement for a good cause.
(Janis Sloka, Executive Director, Camp of the Cross Ministries) "It's a nice way to celebrate our ministry, and celebrate kids, but it's also nice to come and support all of the different venders and folks that have put their time and money into the crafts that will go up for auction today. So it's just part of that whole summer celebration and being a part of the festival, and raising up the importance of the campers that make our ministry what it is."
All of the money made at today's event will go to camps for kids this summer at Camp of the Cross Ministries.
