Jazz Festival Held Indoors

Posted: Updated:

Were you one of the many people bouncing to the rhythm of Minot's Jazz Fest today? Some band leaders wore Zoot Suits and waved their batons

to eager and boisterous musicians at this afternoon at Minot State's Ann Nicole Nelson Hall.

The festival included 12 local vendors and several styles of music ranging from Gypsy Jazz to ttraditionalfavorites.

The Minot Area Council of the Arts believe this adds to the communities quality of life.

If you missed Jazz Fest, you can still go to Seven's Lounge on North Hill tonight for a jam session.

(Terri Aldrich, President Minot Area Council of the Arts) "If you're a jazz player out there in Minot tonight, and you want to test yyour skills you better come on out to the jam session, and sit it because that's what it's all about. We're gonna have many of our world class pperformersthere participating as well. so it's your chance."

Musicians will play at Seven's this evening from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m.
