McQuades Windy Wrap-Up

Posted: Updated:

The biggest charity softball tournament in the country wraps up in Bismarck today.

Yesterday the McQuades softball tournament was rained out, but today players were finally able to hit the diamond.

Mother Nature didn't go too easy on them this afternoon though..

Players and spectators had some serious wind gusts to deal with.. but that didn't stop hundreds of people from coming out.

Some told us they didn't mind putting up with the heavy wind today and the rain yesterday. They weren't going to miss the tournament for anything. But many agree, playing in the wind is better than not playing at all.

"Well even with wind it's better you know as long as you've got sunshine and everything and you're going and you're dry it's a lot better to still play," Nathan Popiel said.

"I think it's great. Everybody is having a good time and relaxing and the weather is pretty good..We could do with less wind.. but that's North Dakota.. it's always windy," Mark Fischer said.
