The extent of the flooding in southwestern Manitoba is evident in photos published in the Brandon Sun.
These pictures come from Colin Corneau of the newspaper.
They show large areas of fields covered with water.
And a highway washout where water is rushing from one field to another.
Some areas of the province received an estimated 8 to 10 inches of rain.
The water from those areas runs off into the Souris River downstream of North Dakota - after the river has exited the state.
