Bismarck MOMS Club Donates Nursing Pillows

Posted: Updated:

Being a mom can be a lot of work.

But one group of stay at home moms are quite the multitaskers...juggling their kids while also making time to give back.

"We're used to traveling with a large group," says Cindy Berglind, Member of MOMS Club.

"I had no idea it was going to be this large (laughs)," says Lori Bergquist, RN and Certified Lactation Consultant.

The local MOMS Club, a group of stay at home moms...and their energetic kids...

"Kids always add a little bit of extra fun to everything," saysBerglindd.

...are making a big difference in the lives of new moms and children.

"I helped take the boxes out to the garage and opened them and put them in the car," Addilyn Berglind.

Addi Berglind and the rest of this wagon-wheeling crew are giving back.

"Everybody wanted to help pull the wagons or carry the pillows," says Berglind.

40 nursing pillows to be exact, going to both Sanford and St. Alexius Hospitals.

"Being that we're all moms, we noticed that there was no nursing pillows in the hospital and it's something that might help some of the moms in their venture to breast feed," says Berglind.

"This was a huge, generous gift that they have given us. All of the mom's are going to appreciate the use of these pillows," says Bergquist.

The MOMS Club had extra funds to also donate swings, bouncers, and crib toys for the nurseries.

"It's going to touch a lot of lives," says Bergquist.

"To be able to do something that's going to help so many new moms definitely just kind of warms the heart," says Berglind.

A heart warming feeling that little Addi sums up with one word.

"Happy," says Addilyn.

MOMS Club is a non-profit organization that does a service project each year to benefit the community.

They raised over 1,500 dollars for today's donations.
