The 4th a Big Day for Mandan Restaurant

Posted: Updated:
The cancellation of the Mandan parade didn't keep everybody down...

Some local restaurants were able to benefit from today's weather.

Dakota Farms Family Restaurant on the strip-- saw its busiest day of the year.

Manager Michael Wenger says the 4th is always their biggest day-- and since the parade was canceled-- today was even busier.

She estimates that the restaurant's 15 staff members seat over a hundred tables throughout the day-- and said the restaurant was full from the minute they opened.

"We've got a lot of people from out of state that come every year for the 4th of July for our parade and the rodeo, we get a lot of the same people every year." says Michael Wenger, manager of Dakota Farms Family Restaurant.

Managers say the restaurant served about 25 hundred people in less than 8 hours
