The cancellation of the Mandan parade didn't keep everybody down...
Some local restaurants were able to benefit from today's weather.
Dakota Farms Family Restaurant on the strip-- saw its busiest day of the year.
Manager Michael Wenger says the 4th is always their biggest day-- and since the parade was canceled-- today was even busier.
She estimates that the restaurant's 15 staff members seat over a hundred tables throughout the day-- and said the restaurant was full from the minute they opened.
"We've got a lot of people from out of state that come every year for the 4th of July for our parade and the rodeo, we get a lot of the same people every year." says Michael Wenger, manager of Dakota Farms Family Restaurant.
Managers say the restaurant served about 25 hundred people in less than 8 hours
