Antler Border Crossing Re-Opens

The border crossing station at Antler that was closed due to flooding this week has now reopened.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced the crossing was back open as of 9:00 a.m.

The crossing had to be closed on Tuesday due to rising water running off from big rains on Saturday and Sunday.  The runoff forced the closure of Highway 256 both in the U.S. and in Canada.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation has determined the roadway to be safe and had reopened the highway for travel. 

The Canada Border Services Agency Lyleton, Manitoba port of entry also reopened at 9:00 a.m.

The Antler, North Dakota port of entry is open seven days a week, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
