New name better reflects expanded technical products, offerings.

Memphis, TN (PRWEB) July 07, 2014

Mid-South Marking Systems, based in Memphis, is changing its name to MSM Solutions to better reflect its expanded line up of Auto-ID technologies for the retail, manufacturing, distribution and healthcare industries.

The company, co-founded by President and CEO Rick Summers in 1981, has grown from a regional to a global provider of barcode, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), mobile printing, and data capture technologies for customers across the U.S., Asia and Central America.

According to Summers, We place a premium on research and development and have partnered with the leading manufacturers of thermal printing, RFID hardware, mobile computing and data collection hardware. The name change is a better reflection of what we do.

The companys proprietary PortalTrack software is designed on a customizable and scalable platform that can be easily integrated with a variety of host systems, and run on multiple operating systems.

Bar coding and RFID are the building blocks to the Internet of Things (IoT), stated Tom Sheahen, vice president of sales, Zebra Technologies. MSM Solutions, among other Zebra partners, is at the forefront of helping us provide more effective solutions that help organizations of all kinds be more competitive and connected.
