Jury Trial Begins for Man Charged with Killing 18-year-old

A jury trial for a man accused of murdering an 18-year-old in Bismarck begins today.

Joshua Clark of Stanley, North Dakota is charged with conspiracy to commit murder for allegedly killing John Swain of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

His alleged accomplice Theo Crowe pleaded guilty in October.

Swain went missing in May last year and his body was later found buried in Crowe's grandmother's backyard in Poplar, Montana.

He had been beaten with a hammer and his legs were dismembered.

Multiple people testified in court today, including Swain's roommate at the time, Crowe's roommate and 2 police officers involved in the case.

The trial will continue the next 4 days.

Clark faces life in prison.
