Lightning caused a fire and oil spill near Alexander on Monday.
The Department of Health reports almost 650 barrels of oil and more than 28-hundred barrels of saltwater were spilled as a result of the damage.
The department reports most of the oil and brine were contained to the salt water disposal site that was hit by lightning, but some escaped.
The report indicates the material that escaped was contained before reaching a nearby stream.
The fire is being allowed to burn itself out with emergency personnel keeping an eye on the situation.
