It's not every day we see our dreams come true, but one little girl is getting the surprise of a lifetime at her favorite place in the world, The Medora Musical.
This is Elizabeth Jorda.
She suffers from the life threatening illness of pulmonary hypertension combined with severe and progressive asthma.
But, friends say nothing brings her down.
"She has got a smile that's infectious. She is a bubbly, happy little girl. You just fall in love with her instantly," says Make-A-Wish Foundation Volunteer Wish Granter Amy Binstock.
Eight-year-old Elizabeth has dreamed of going to Disney World since she was just five years old.
And, the North Dakota Make-A-Wish Team is making sure that dream becomes a reality.
"She wanted to go to Disney and meet the princesses and see some dolphins and she hasn't really traveled before so she's really excited to go," says Binstock.
To make the surprise even more special, they're getting some help from a few of her favorite characters.
"She lives right here in Medora and they love Medora. They come to the musical all the time so this is perfect," says Binstock.
Amy says seeing the candidates' faces light up when they receive their wish is what it's all about.
"Can you read what that says? It says, 'Elizabeth your wish to go to Walt Disney World Resort is coming true,' " says Kelly Braun.
"I was surprised," says Elizabeth Jorda.
"It was absolutely amazing. Our daughter loves Medora, so we moved to Medora for her. And to have Emily and Bill as part of it, that meant so much to us. She'll never forget it," says Lynn Jorda.
But, for Elizabeth going to Disney isn't just about the rides.
She says she's most looking forward to having fun with her family.
Elizabeth has seen the show 15 times already this season.
The family leaves for Orlando in about two weeks.
They say they're also looking forward to going on some water slides.
It may have been in the 40s this morning, but that did not stop kids from lining up at the local water park this afternoon.
