1700 pounds of ribs, 12 teams competing for a 500 dollar prize, a street fair and vendors from all over the state - all of this and more is what Velva will be experiencing tomorrow.
The second annual RibFest begins at 10 in the morning on Main Street in Velva and will go until 7 tomorrow night.
After the food festivities, the gates will open for musical acts- "Branded," Jessie Veeder, and the grand finale, Blackhawk.
A chairperson says that they are expecting more than 1,700 people, and anyone is welcome to come out and enjoy the day.

Tickets for RibFest are 10 dollars per person, and can be bought tomorrow at the event.
Minot Police say Sophia Pepple of New Town was struck by a pickup and killed about 6:25pm Sunday.
In addition, both had recently been released from state prison.
A two-year-old child was killed by a hit-and-run driver in Minot Sunday evening.
