State Fair Starts Next Week

Posted: Updated:

Time to start saving some calories...

The North Dakota State Fair kicks off next week with its food, fun, and entertainment running nine days.

Perry Olson tells us the grounds are starting to take shape already.

"It's all bacon chunks..."

I'm not kidding on the calories -- now is a good time to start eating less...if you plan on eating more here -- the NDSF starts next week. This week, the task of getting set up continued...

(Jennifer Hubrig - NDSF Marketing Director) "Our grounds crew and staff are working extremely hard getting everything put together for the fair. We are finalizing all the free stage details with the ground set-up."

Midway rides will arrive soon -- and a few hundred of thousand after that. The Fair is set-up for another spectacular run in 2014...perhaps headlined once again by a grandstand full of big names...

(Jennifer Hubrig - NDSF Marketing Manager) "We get really excited when we land those acts that are really big as the fair comes around the next year when they will be taking the stage and we are really lucky with that this year." (Perry Olson - KX News) "All the activity here at the Fairgrounds is a sure sign the fair is coming, so too is where you can make your purchases on the grounds -- that happens right here at the Grandstand." (Jennifer Hubrig - NDSF Marketing Manager) "Tickets can still be purchased online however gate admission would need to be purchased at the grandstand at this point and concert tickets are sold here too."

And they are going fast she says...so if you want to be a part of the action -- don't be left on the outside -- showpasses have sold out the last few years. At the state fairgrounds, Perry Olson, KX News.
