WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) - The Williston City Commission has rejected a plan to develop 73 townhouses in the oil boom town.
The council voted to deny the project last week.
Mayor Howard Klug says the project was denied because it was "too dense" for the area.
Code Estates LLC is the project's developer and provided the city commission with signatures from neighbors who supported the project.
But officials say some neighbors worried about the townhouses turning into crew camps for oil workers and increased traffic.
