Locals Celebrate North Dakota's 125th

Summer is just one reason why many residents love living in North Dakota, but the state Department of Commerce wants you to check out 125 more ways to celebrate the state.

North Dakota will be celebrating 125 years of statehood on Nov. 2, 2014.

We visited some locals who have been out enjoying the great outdoors that North Dakota is known for.

Some have lived here all their lives while others are just passing through.

Regardless of where they're from, everyone we talked with seems to enjoy what the state has to offer.

"Well I love the outdoors generally camping and fishing and hunting."

'We enjoy going to the forts around the country and seeing wwhat'sgoing on and this is a nice on. A lot of history."

"I like camping."

"Visiting the teepees here because we are right by a river and tthere'ssand so we can play in and we have a little fire pit in the teepee."

"Steak on a stick! Pitch fork Steak."

"You know you could spend the whole summer here."

Some of the people we talked to had been camping in the area for over two months straight.
