Bismarck High has a New Principal

Posted: Updated:
Bismarck High School will start the new school year with a new principal.

David Wisthoff who served as the assistant principal at BHS for the past four years now holds the position of full time principal.

He replaces Michael Cary.

Cary was principal for two years before taking a position with Duluth Public Schools in Minnesota.

Wisthoff is counting on higher enrollment in the future and says there are more students starting school throughout the year than ever before.

"We have teachers who care deeply about the kids, teachers who are excited to be here, to come to work.  To be able to lead a staff like that in a building like we have here, it's a great opportunity." says David Wisthoff, BHS principal

Wisthoff has a Masters in educational leadership and spent 5 years teaching Social Studies before coming to Bismarck.
